Join The MBC

MBC Membership is available to companies that promote biotechnology research and support the growth and development of the biotechnology industry.

There are over 550 member companies in the MBC, approximately 60% are Biotech members and 40% are Associate Non-profit/Academic and Associate Industry members. Memberships are only available to organizations, not to individuals. Biotech and Associate Industry members enjoy all of the same benefits of MBC membership, but are categorized as either “for-profit biotechnology companies”, “non-profit and academic institutions”, or “associate industry members”, and fall under different Annual Dues structures.

Biotech Members

Definition: Further the understanding of living systems and use advanced technologies in the attempt to solve problems and develop products such as therapeutic drugs, vaccines, diagnostic assays, and agricultural products.

Biotech: Any for-profit biotech company.

All dues based on total number of employees worldwide.

Annual Dues
Revenue less than $100 million
20 employees or less $1,500
With 21 - 50 employees $3,500, plus $50 for each additional employee over a total of 21 employees
With 51 - 150 employees $5,000, plus $25 for each additional employee over a total of 50 employees
More than 150 employees $7,500, plus $15 for each additional employee over a total of 150 employees Maximum of $14,000
Revenue greater than $100 million, less than $1 billion
All companies $16,000
Revenue greater than or equal to $1 billion
All companies $18,000

Associate Industry Members

Definition: Companies and institutions that are not directly involved in commercial biotechnology but share an interest in the industry's future.

All dues based on total number of employees worldwide.

Annual Dues
With 20 or fewer employees $3,500
With between 21 - 100 employees $5,500
With between 101 - 500 employees $7,000
With between 501 - 1000 employees $8,000
With more than 1000 employees $9,000

Associate Non-Profit/Academic/Government

Definition: Universities, hospitals, research institutions, government agencies, and any other non-profit organization.
